Atmosphere has always been my greatest trigger in photography. For me no place has a more breathtaking atmosphere than Iceland. It’s varied landscapes look absolutely stunning and it’s no suprise everything feels mythical there. My greatest obsession was capturing light hitting landscape the way it really looks. I try to manipulate my photos as little as possible, as not to change the nature of the scene. In a time where photoshop is everywhere I feel that showing things the way they are is soothing to the mind. Besides it is beautiful just the way it is. The foreground of my photographs are often blurred which stems from the fact, that many of these photographs have been taken while driving. There are so many amazing things to see that it’s almost impossible to stop everywhere.
